FirstShow - Content & Community Guidelines

These Guidelines apply to everyone on FirstShow - viewers, creators, and anyone who posts, records, or shares content. They form part of the Terms of Service and work alongside the Acceptable Use Policy and the AI & Synthetic Media Policy. Breaking them can lead to content removal, feature restrictions, or account termination.

FirstShow hosts FirstShow Originals and Creator Content (independent creators’ series), and lets viewers record promo clips and post reactions. Because the Service carries user-generated content (“UGC”), these Guidelines also satisfy the moderation, reporting, and blocking requirements of Apple App Store Guideline 1.2 and Google Play’s UGC policy, and the grievance-redressal obligations of India’s IT Rules, 2021.

1. Core principle

Share content you have the right to share, that is honestly presented, and that does not harm others. If you would not want it shown to your family, a child, or a court, don’t post it.

2. Prohibited content

You may not upload, publish, stream, or share content that:

1. Child safety - sexualises, exploits, or endangers minors in any way (zero tolerance; reported to authorities as required).
2. Sexual content / obscenity - is pornographic or obscene, or is non-consensual intimate imagery (“NCII”). Mature themes in fictional series are subject to age-gating and the rules in Section 6, not the same as pornography.
3. Non-consensual synthetic media - depicts a real person’s face, body, or voice without consent, or is a deepfake used to deceive, defraud, harass, or sexualise. See the AI & Synthetic Media Policy.
4. Violence & incitement - incites or glorifies violence, terrorism, or self-harm, or threatens others.
5. Hate & harassment - attacks or dehumanises people based on religion, caste, ethnicity, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics; bullies or harasses.
6. Illegal & regulated goods - promotes illegal activity, drugs, weapons, or other regulated goods contrary to law.
7. Misinformation & impersonation - impersonates a person or brand, or spreads deceptive information likely to cause public harm (see India IT Rules Rule 3(1)(b) categories).
8. IP infringement - infringes copyright, trademark, or other IP, including uploading others’ films, series, music, or scripts without authorisation.
9. Privacy violations - discloses others’ private or personal information without consent (doxxing).
10. Fraud, spam & malware - scams, deceptive monetisation, spam, or malicious code.

This list mirrors the categories of unlawful information in Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT Rules, 2021; content unlawful under Indian law or the law of a user’s jurisdiction is prohibited regardless of whether it is listed above.

3. Creator standards

Creators publishing titles/episodes must additionally: - Hold all rights and consents in their content (see the Creator Terms), including music, footage, performers, and any real person’s likeness/voice. - Disclose AI-generated or AI-modified realistic content and label it, per the AI & Synthetic Media Policy. - Provide accurate titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and age/maturity information - no misleading or “bait” metadata. - Not upload content designed primarily to game recommendations, inflate views, or circumvent moderation.

4. How we moderate

• Creator applications are reviewed by our team before a creator can publish. We may review, label, age-gate, restrict discoverability of, or remove content, and warn, suspend, or terminate accounts.
• We act on reports we receive and may also act on our own initiative. We aim to be proportionate and, where appropriate, to notify the affected user with the reason and any appeal route.
• Repeat or severe violations lead to permanent removal. Content that is illegal is removed regardless of intent.

5. Reporting, blocking, and appeals (in-app)

FirstShow provides in-app tools required by Apple Guideline 1.2 and Google Play:

• Report content - every title, episode, promo clip, and reaction has a Report action. Choose a reason (e.g., sexual content, hate, IP, deepfake/NCII, misinformation). We acknowledge reports and act on them promptly.
• Block creators - you can block a creator so their titles no longer appear anywhere in the app. Manage blocks under Profile -> Blocked Creators.
• Appeal - if your content or account is actioned, you may appeal via the in-app flow or contact@unscript.ai; we will review and respond.

6. Age-gating and mature content

Some series contain mature themes. Every title carries an age rating shown in the app. We ask for your date of birth when you create an account and use it to keep titles rated above your age out of your feed, your search results and playback. FirstShow accounts require users to be at least 18 (see the Terms of Service and children’s-data handling in the Privacy Policy). Age ratings shown in the app map to the platform age-rating questionnaires (Apple/Google).

7. Copyright and DMCA / notice-and-takedown

7.1 Filing a notice

If you believe content infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@unscript.ai with the subject “Copyright Notice”, including: 1. Your name, address, email, and (if agent) whom you represent; 2. Identification of the copyrighted work; 3. The URL or in-app location of the allegedly infringing content; 4. A statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorised; 5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act; 6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We will remove or disable access to content that is the subject of a valid notice and notify the poster.

7.2 Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you are authorised, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including your contact details, identification of the removed content and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury of good-faith belief that removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to jurisdiction as applicable. Where the DMCA framework applies, if we receive a valid counter-notice we may restore the content within the statutory window unless the complainant files suit.

7.3 Repeat infringers

We terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

8. Grievance redressal timelines (India - IT Rules, 2021)

We appoint a Grievance Officer (details in the Terms of Service section 15 and Privacy Policy section 14) and follow these timelines:

If FirstShow is classified as a Significant Social Media Intermediary, we will additionally appoint a Chief Compliance Officer, a 24×7 Nodal Contact Person, and a Resident Grievance Officer, and publish periodic compliance reports.

9. Enforcement and consequences

Depending on severity and history, we may: remove or age-gate content; limit reach or features; issue warnings or strikes; suspend or permanently terminate accounts; withhold creator payouts for violating content (see Creator Terms); and report to law enforcement where required.
